Can Not Upload Csv File in to Tyt2017

1. Greetings,

   Does anyhone know of any software that can have contacts out of a plug in this example Physician-380 and import information technology into an MD-2017 plug? I tried N0GSG Contacts manager, which is a smashing program BTW, just it doesnt support md-2017 (i HOPE However. It has a feature for pulling selected contacts out of DMR-MARC. I tried to import the CSV into CPS 2017 merely information technology looks like the mapping is dissimilar eg Contact name comes in as DMR-ID. Oh well.

   Simply wondering if anyone has solved this piffling Die Lemma

3. I was under the impression that the 2017 CPS would practise it with a 380 codeplug.

4. The link points to v1.sixteen of the sw. In that location is a ane.17 version I fiund merely tin can't discover again. The sw does have a 380 plug and load it but the contact mgr sw will pull from DMR Marc but when you export the dat to cvs th format is different them the md380 cvs. I'thou going to endeavor and rearrange and massage it and see if I can simulated information technology ou.

   I merely opened a MD-380 codeplug with information technology and exported the digital contact listing and then imported information technology into a Doctor-2017 codeplug and it appears to exist right. Is that what yous are trying to do?

7. New from the Medico-2017 Programming Front or as I telephone call it 10th level of Hell.

   So I took the 100k firmware SW download on tyt888.com/download (20170803163357.zip) Information technology contains a Firmware downloader V3.04 and a rar file for CPS 2017 v1.17 2017-07-07 and two bin files V3.36 nonngps and P3.38 gps. I installed the downloader and CPS 2017 (it required me to uninstall the existing version). I( then downloaded the V3.36 bin file into the MD2017 successfully. I so fired up CPS 2017 read in the the radio codeplug which had 723 contacts comprising the local NEDECN contacts plus everyone in Massachusetts. This plug BTW has been working great showing names of the near of the folk.

   I downloaded the entire DMR-MARC contacts (72,548) db via the cgi download link. Thru CPS 2017 i read in the lawmaking plug and so tried to import the downloaded csv. No response, error message, anything and no apparent consequence. And so while perusing the menu bar upwardly top I happen to hit Program and lo and behold at that place is a new choice! Write Contacts! The plot thickens. I click information technology and become a diaglog box with Read Write Export Import Cancel. Seldct Import and signal to the DMR-MARC csv and it imports successfully! (Notation you apparently need EXCEL installed and running when you do this. I know because {I tried information technology on a PC running OpenOffice and it gets an Excel Failed mistake so it knows the difference. and at present back to our program}. Then now manifestly I have a lawmaking plug with 723 contacts visible in the contacts screen (no they don't display there). I write the codeplug to the Doc-2017. And the radio still works! WHEW!

   Now for the moment of truth.

   MENU/CONTACTS/ViewContactsCSV/ContactsCSVList {pulsate roll delight}

   TA DA! I have loaded 72,548 lines of question marks! (aye this thing ?)

   OK now its personal.

   Back to the drawing board equally they say.

   Y'all said you had Excel open when you lot did the contacts import? Endeavor doing the import without Excel open. I've never had Excel running while doing the import and haven't had any issues. In that location'south also firmware v3.forty now.

    U are my new DMR hero. With no excel it imported the contacts successfully and they are readable! I think when I got the excel fail message on the systerm with openoffice I causeless it needed excel running on the other organisation.

    Just now Obi-wan, although I have loaded teh latest sw off TYT8988.com ( FW V003.036 and CP ver: i.17) information technology simply loads x,000 of the 72548 contacts.

    The FW was downloaded using the file MD2017- 100k 0803 20170803163357 from TYT888.com

    The funny thing is although it says 0803 inside the rar file the directory says 0721 run into attached snippet.

    I experience we're close and shortly I volition know who is talking on North America LOL! Because I never catch the callsigns......

12. BINGO!

    I now have 73,135 contacts and they have names! File this under DMR dummy and trying to help CPS where no assistance was needed. Cutting to the chase. The csv file I was importing was in the wrong format. I exported the contacts to get the format of the file and then made the big fuile look similar it. EXCEPT the export of the contacts off the contacts window isnt the aforementioned format equally the export off the write contacts dialog box. That format expect for it.....matches the DMR-MARC download eggzactly. And then download the data from dmr-marc, import into the write contacts dialog box write to the radio using the write contacts dialog box and VIOLA` information technology worked.

    Thank you for all your help. The new FW also probably was cardinal. (BTW where did you lot getr that version?

    I at present will get listen to NA and world broad although they're probab ly sleeping

15. An update on my DMR woes. THEY ARE NO MORE! Later on suggestions by Dave KB1PVH switching to a unlike computer and not running excel the USB bug have gone and I take the 72k contacts loaded in!

    And so I rebuilt the other PC and lo and behold it work snow also! Then obviously I did some pedal sharpshooting in my attempts to go it working. A make clean install seems to have done the trick.
